Twenty Cents: El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

Destructoid: Possible El Shaddai spinoffs could come to Vita, Wii U

Shane Bettenhausen, the director of business development at Ignition Entertainment, has told Destructoid that El Shaddai has become more of a brand to them than anything and that the title could see spinoffs in the forms of new games and /or DLC.  Hit the link for more information.

What does Twenty Cent Gaming think?
Have you ever played/seen/heard of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron?  This is an action game by Ignition Entertainment in which Enoch, a priest, is tasked with the mission of finding the seven fallen angels in order to prevent the great flood from occurring and destroying mankind.  The story is inspired by the Biblical Book of Enoch.  The game features very beautiful cel-shaded visuals and has no HUD (Heads Up Display) interface so there's no cluttering of the screen.  Instead of health meters, damage is shown by the destruction of armor/clothes.  Don't misunderstand, characters won't be naked or anything.  Enoch can obtain weapons by taking an enemy's weapon and "purifying" it.

I see a lot of potential in El Shaddai and I'm happy that the game won't just be a one-hit release.  I would actually like to see more out of this game and it looks like that is going to happen in the future.

If you like action games like God of War, Devil May Cry, and Bayonetta, I strongly recommend that you look into this game.  There is a demo available on PSN/XBL.

The game has a North America release date of August 16th of this year (Updated from July 26, courtesy of GameStop ).  That's just a month off.  This game will be for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for 59.99 USD.  This game will also release in Europe September 9th of this year.
