Twenty Cent Rumor: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds
Marvel vs Cacpom 3: Fate of Two Worlds released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in February earlier this year and while reception has been mostly positive, players have expressed their concerns over character selections. So far, we only have two characters available for Downloadable Content and that's Capcom's Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, appearing in her Battlesuit form from RE5 and Marvel's Shuma Gorath. However, these have been the only two characters to join the rosters as extras and we're in the middle of July.
More recently, there has been word of a new iteration of Marvel vs Capcom 3 that is supposed to be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in about a week. It's supposedly titled "Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3" and will bump the roster up to 50 characters in addition to extra content. It is also being said that this release may get a disc release like Super Street Fighter IV/Arcade Edition. This is purely speculation although Capcom has stated that there will be some nice updates in store for fans at San Diego Comic-Con. Treat this information as you will, but right now this is nothing but a rumor sparked by many of the fans.
What does Twenty Cent Gaming think?
Personally, I just want them to announce that they have added spectating to online mode and that Mega Man X (or any Mega Man) will be playable in the future. Lately Capcom has been dropping the ball with these 0.99 cent Shadow Battles and occasional event updates. It wouldn't hurt to have more characters, though. It would give me a reason to pick the game back up and play seriously again.
